Qatari outfit Al-Sailiya SC have successfully secured the signing of Moroccan international Younes Belhanda in the current winter transfer window.
The 35-year-old experienced midfielder joins Al-Sailiya from fellow Qatari outfit Al-Shamal SC and is expected to play a huge role for the club.
Al-Sailiya welcomed the Moroccan star to their ranks, without disclosing details regarding the contract’s duration or financial terms.
Belhanda is considered one of the prominent names in Moroccan football, having accumulated considerable experience at both the European and Asian levels. He began his professional career in France with Montpellier, where he was a key player in the team that won the Ligue 1 title in the 2011-2012 season.
He has had several professional stints, including playing for Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine, where he won both the league and cup titles. He also had loan spells at Schalke 04 in Germany and Nice in France, before joining Galatasaray in Turkey, where he spent four successful seasons, winning the Turkish league title twice.
Belhanda also played for Adana Demirspor in Turkey before embarking on a Qatari league career with Al Shamal in January 2024. He now continues his journey in Qatar with Al Sailiya.
