Pyramids FC will make a decision on the future of Moroccan defender, Mohamed Chibi, who has attracted interest from Al Ahly.
Chibi has been strongly linked to the fellow Egyptian giants.
“There is unofficial interest from Al-Ahly in signing Al-Sheeb. Contacts have already taken place, but without a written offer being sent. The offer has been referred to the club’s management for a final decision,” a source told Kooora.
He added, “Al-Ahly wants to loan the Moroccan player during the Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States from June 15 to July 13.
“There is a welcome possibility of loaning the player out for the Club World Cup, but the issue of the player’s permanent departure is off the table, especially since he has renewed his contract until 2028 and is a key member of the team.
“It is not true that Pyramids has set financial demands for the Moroccan player’s permanent departure, or that negotiations have taken place on this point,” he added.
Meanwhile, Pyramids will face Sundowns in the CAF Champions League finals.
