Pyramids FC are shaking up the Egyptian transfer window with a late push to land Palestinian forward Oday Dabbagh from Belgian side Charleroi.
The club’s swift action has suddenly put Zamalek’s hopes of securing the striker in real doubt.
Dabbagh, a sharp and mobile attacker, had been edging closer to joining Zamalek, but Pyramids’ entry has turned the race into a tight contest. A source inside Pyramids FC told Kooora that Dabbagh was always on their radar, but they initially held back as they chased Swedish striker Isak Lidberg from Darmstadt 98 in Germany.
Now, with the Lidberg deal in limbo, Pyramids are acting fast. According to the same source, talks with Dabbagh’s camp have already started. Officials from the Cairo-based club have reached out directly to the striker and his agent to discuss financial terms and gauge Charleroi’s stance.
The club sees Dabbagh as a top target to strengthen their frontline. A final decision is expected soon, as all parties await a green light that could shift the direction of the deal entirely.
