Pyramids FC have secured qualification for the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup tournament following their CAF Champions League success.
The Egyptian outfit triumphed over Mamelodi Sundowns in the two-legged final to secure their first-ever Champions League title.
In a high-stake second leg clash held at the 30 June Air Defence Stadium, Pyramids inflicted a 2-1 victory over Sundowns, completing a 3-2 aggregate win for the Egyptian club.
Before the return clash, both teams had settled for a 1-1 draw at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
With this, Pyramids confirms their qualification to the expanded 2029 FIFA Club World Cup, which will marks the second edition of the tournament.
The maiden edition of the tournament will commence on June 14, 2025, with 32 teams set to battle it out for the covetous trophy in the USA.
Their qualification confirms Pyramids’ arrival on the global stage, just a decade after the club’s establishment.
Additionally, the Egyptian outfit have also qualified for the 2025 Intercontinental Cup.
