In a bold move to steady the ship, Pyramids coach Krunoslav Jurčić has taken his squad to Alexandria for a closed training camp ahead of two crucial league games.
The decision comes as the team looks to bounce back in the Egyptian League’s third and fourth rounds against Haras El Hodoud and Fargo.
The camp at Borg El Arab will run until the Fargo match on May 4, with Pyramids first hosting Haras El Hodoud this Wednesday. Jurčić is banking on the camp to refocus his players and boost team chemistry.
Missing the Haras El Hodoud clash are key midfielders Mohamed El Shibi, Walid El Karti, and Mohannad Lashin—El Shibi and El Karti are serving suspensions after accumulating three bookings, while Lashin is out due to a red card against Al Ahly. The trio is expected to return against Fargo.
The 27-man squad includes a mix of experience and youth across all positions, including goalkeepers Ahmed El Shenawy and Sherif Ekramy, forwards Feston Mayele and Marwan Hamdy, and playmaker Ramadan Sobhy.
