Pyramids FC will step onto the pitch with a sense of history and renewal when they face Al Ahly on Saturday evening at Al Salam Stadium in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The club confirmed it will wear a new jersey design for the season, bringing back memories of its early days after being renamed Pyramids FC. The shirt combines white and sky blue in a pattern that recalls the Argentine national team, a return from the full sky blue design worn in recent seasons.
Fans are eager to see if this refreshed look will inspire the players. Under Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić, Pyramids have collected five points from their first four league games, including a 1-0 win over Ismaily, two draws against Wadi Degla and Al-Masry, and a narrow 2-1 defeat to Modern Sport.
The team will also be without key internationals. Moroccan fullback Mohamed Chibi joined his national side, while Burkina Faso’s Blati Toure and Congo’s Feston Mayele also departed for international duty.
