Pyramids FC snatch dramatic win over Kahraba Ismailia
Pyramids grabbed a dramatic 2–1 victory away to Kahraba Ismailia, scoring a stoppage-time winner to take all three points in a rescheduled Egyptian Premier League clash at Ismailia Stadium.
The hosts struck first on 56 minutes when Moroccan forward Mohamed Ounajem rose highest to power a header past goalkeeper Mahmoud Gad.
Pyramids responded quickly, with defender Ali Gabr levelling the score in the 65th minute with a precise header of his own. As the game seemed to be drifting towards a draw, substitute Mahmoud Abdel Hafiz Zalaka popped up in the 90+3 minute to slot home the winner after fine work from Moroccan full-back Mohamed Chibi.
After the goal, Pyramids players celebrated by lifting the shirt of star winger Ramadan Sobhi, who was recently handed a four-year ban by CAS for a doping violation.
The victory lifts Pyramids to 26 points from 11 games, second in the table and three points clear of Al Ahly, who have played one match more. Kahraba Ismailia stay rooted to the bottom in 21st place with 8 points.
