Pyramids FC is making major moves in the transfer market, with the club finalizing a deal to bring in goalkeeper Mahmoud Gad from Al-Masry SC.
The 26-year-old shot-stopper has accepted all personal terms, and his current club has agreed to let him go, following his decision not to extend a contract set to end next June.
Gad’s recent absence from Al-Masry’s training camp in Tunisia only heightened rumours of his exit. Now, those whispers have turned into reality as Pyramids step up their pursuit of silverware.
A club source confirmed that an official announcement is expected soon, not only for Gad but also for Mustafa Abdel Raouf Zico, the rising star from Zed.
So far this summer, Pyramids have added just one player, Brazilian winger Everton da Silva, but the new moves signal a clear intent to build a side capable of challenging strongly in both domestic and African competitions.
With the new season on the horizon, the Cairo-based club appears set to raise its ambitions even higher.
