Mohamed Hany not on Pyramids radar

Pyramids FC have no plans to sign Al Ahly right-back Mohamed Hany during the upcoming summer transfer window despite growing speculation linking the defender with a move away from the Cairo giants.

Hany has been tipped to leave Al Ahly at the end of the season, particularly with negotiations over a contract extension reportedly stalled amid differences over financial terms.

However, Pyramids are not currently pursuing the Egypt international and have not opened negotiations with either the player or his representatives over a potential free transfer.

The club’s current options at right-back have also reduced the need to enter the market for another player in the position.

Moroccan defender Mohamed Chibi remains one of Pyramids’ key options at right-back, while Khaled Awad is also trusted by the club and is viewed as a player with the potential to develop further.

As a result, the right-back position is not currently considered a priority for reinforcement, making a move for Hany unlikely at this stage.

Hany’s future at Al Ahly, meanwhile, remains uncertain as the club continues to deal with the situation surrounding his contract.

Should an agreement over a new deal fail to materialise, the defender could become available as a free agent next summer, potentially attracting interest from other clubs.

For now, however, Pyramids have distanced themselves from the possibility of signing Hany, with no negotiations taking place and the club appearing satisfied with its existing options in the position.
