Pyramids FC ordered to pay Hala Bassem Fathi El-Sarawi $1,340 in FIFA ruling
Egyptian club Pyramids FC have been ordered by FIFA to pay Hala Bassem Fathi El-Sarawi US$1,340 in outstanding remuneration.
The ruling relates to delayed payments owed to El-Sarawi, with FIFA also ordering the club to pay 5% annual interest on the outstanding amount until it is settled.
Pyramids have been given 45 days from the date of notification of the decision to make full payment.
FIFA’s ruling means the Egyptian club faces further sanctions if it fails to comply with the order within the specified period.
Should Pyramids FC fail to pay, they could be subject to a registration ban of up to three consecutive transfer windows, preventing the club from registering new players during that period.
The case could also be referred to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee for further action if the club does not comply with the ruling.
The decision adds to the growing number of cases in which FIFA has imposed financial obligations and potential transfer restrictions on clubs over outstanding payments to players or other football stakeholders.
For Pyramids, the immediate priority will be to settle the US$1,340 debt, together with the applicable interest, within the 45-day deadline to avoid the possibility of additional sanctions.
