Pyramids FC have officially completed the signing of right-back Khaled Awad from Tala’ea El-Gaish, confirming a move first reported by FilGoal.com as the club strengthen their squad during the current summer transfer window.

Awad, 23, had been under contract with Tala’ea El-Gaish until the summer of 2028. He will now continue his career with Pyramids FC after agreeing terms to join the club.

The announcement follows an earlier report by FilGoal.com that Pyramids FC had reached an agreement to sign the defender. The club has now formally confirmed the deal, making Awad one of their new additions ahead of the forthcoming season.

Pyramids FC are seeking to improve their first-team squad across every position as they prepare for a campaign that will include a demanding schedule of domestic and continental commitments. The club’s recruitment plans are focused on adding players capable of providing greater depth and competition throughout the team.

Amr Bassiouny, Pyramids FC’s director of contracting, secured Awad’s signature on the contracts completing his transfer to the club.

Awad becomes the third player announced by Pyramids FC during the current recruitment period. The club had previously confirmed the arrivals of Ahmed Abdelkader and Eyad El-Askalany.

The defender began his football career in the youth system at Tala’ea El-Gaish before progressing to the senior team. His performances at first-team level earned him the opportunity to move to Pyramids FC, where he will now look to continue his development.

Awad has also represented Egypt at every youth international level, progressing through the national teams from the junior sides to the youth ranks. He was regarded as one of the key players in those teams during that period.

During his time with Tala’ea El-Gaish, Awad made 41 appearances in all competitions. He also contributed to two goals in the Egypt Capital Cup, scoring once and providing one assist.

His arrival gives Pyramids FC another option at right-back as they build their squad for the new season. The club’s transfer activity comes as it prepares to compete on both domestic and continental fronts, with the need for a larger group of players to manage the number of fixtures involved.

For Tala’ea El-Gaish, the move brings an end to Awad’s spell with the club after his rise from the youth setup to the first team. For Pyramids FC, it represents another step in their effort to reinforce the squad with players who have experience of Egyptian football and international youth competition.
