Pyramids FC can win the Egyptian Premier League this season – Former Zamalek coach Nelo Vingade
Former Zamalek coach Nelo Vingade has tipped Pyramids FC to annex the Egyptian Premier League title this season.
Pyramids narrowly lost the Egyptian top-flight last season, with Al Ahly emerging as the champions last term.
Despite missing out on the league, Pyramids FC managed to secure their first ever CAF Champions League title, defeating Mamelodi Sundowns.
In an interview, the Portuguese manager, who once led Zamalek, insists Pyramids FC can annex the Premier League this time considering the instability of the competition.
“Pyramids narrowly lost the Egyptian Premier League title last season, despite their excellent form and winning the CAF Champions League. I believe that due to the instability of the Egyptian league, Pyramids can win the title this season” he said.
Currently, Pyramids FC find themselves in the seventh position on the Premier League standing, accumulating 14 points from seven games.
