Pyramids FC set to sign Ahmed Nabil Kouka

Pyramids FC have opened talks to sign Al Ahly midfielder Ahmed Nabil Kouka ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The 24-year-old, who has been an important squad member for Al Ahly this season, is under contract until the summer of 2026 but has yet to reach an agreement over a renewal with the Red Devils, leaving his future open.

According to reports, Pyramids president Mamdouh Eid has already made direct contact with the player as the club looks to strengthen its midfield options ahead of next season.

Pyramids are said to have offered Kouka a three-year contract worth around 105 million Egyptian pounds, structured as 30 million in the first season, 35 million in the second, and 40 million in the final year.

The proposal reflects Pyramids’ continued ambition in the domestic market as they aim to build a squad capable of challenging consistently for the Egyptian Premier League title.

Despite the strong financial offer, Kouka is reportedly prioritising a potential move to Europe as part of his long-term career ambitions.

The midfielder has also indicated that his first preference is to wait for Al Ahly to present a renewal offer before making any decision on his future. Only if talks fail, he is expected to seriously consider external offers, including from Pyramids FC.

Since being promoted to the senior team at the start of the 2021–22 season, Kouka has developed into a reliable squad player for Al Ahly SC.

This season, he has featured in 33 matches across all competitions, contributing one goal while playing a supporting role in midfield rotations.

His development has been closely monitored within the club, but the lack of a renewed contract agreement has now created uncertainty over whether he will remain in Cairo beyond his current deal.

With interest from Pyramids FC now official and European ambitions also in play, Kouka’s future is expected to be one of the key transfer stories of the upcoming window.

Al Ahly are still believed to be assessing their contract strategy, but any delay in negotiations could open the door for rival clubs to intensify their pursuit of the midfielder.
