Pyramids FC and Ceramica Cleopatra FC are locked in crucial talks as both sides rush to finalize a player exchange before the summer transfer window closes next Wednesday.
The two clubs are aiming to strike a deal that would see Mohamed Reda move permanently to Ceramica, while Amr Qalawa heads in the opposite direction to join Pyramids.
Reda had an impressive loan spell with Ceramica from January to June, playing a key role in their Cairo Capital Cup triumph. His performances convinced Ceramica to pursue him on a full-time basis. Though Pyramids were initially keen to keep the midfielder, Reda’s preference to rejoin Ceramica has helped move talks forward.
To make the deal work, Pyramids have shown serious interest in bringing in Amr Qalawa from Ceramica. Sources say financial agreements for both players are being worked on separately to smooth the process.
Meanwhile, Pyramids continue to strengthen their squad, confirming the signing of Brazilian winger Everton da Silva from Banik Ostrava. They are also in advanced talks to sign Al-Masry SC goalkeeper Mahmoud Gad, Zed midfielder Mostafa Abdel-Raouf Zico, and Swedish forward Isak Lidberg.
