Pululu linked with Widzew Łódź switch as Jagiellonia future remains unclear

Afimico Pululu, the DR Congo and France centre-forward currently playing for Polish champions Jagiellonia Białystok, is being linked with a move to Ekstraklasa rivals Widzew Łódź amid uncertainty over his contract situation.

Data from Transfermarkt lists the probability of the transfer at 50%, with Widzew reportedly exploring a deal for the 27-year-old left‑footer, who is valued at €4.00m. With no public record of a fixed contract expiry date at Jagiellonia, speculation has grown that Pululu could either run down his deal or position himself for a potential free-agent move further down the line.

Pululu, who wears the number 10 shirt for Jagiellonia, has built a reputation in Poland as a mobile centre-forward capable of leading the line and drifting into wide channels. Born on 23 March 1999 in Luanda and standing at 1.75m, he holds dual nationality with DR Congo and France, having developed his game in Europe before establishing himself in the Ekstraklasa.

His most recent outing for Jagiellonia came in the Ekstraklasa against domestic opposition earlier this month, when he featured in a tight league encounter, contributing with his pressing and link-up play as Jagiellonia continued their push at the top end of the table. That performance has not cooled interest, with Widzew monitoring his displays closely as they plan for next season.

A move within the Polish top flight would keep Pululu in familiar surroundings and at a competitive level, while giving Widzew a proven Ekstraklasa attacker whose market valuation suggests there could be scope for a cut-price deal if Jagiellonia opt to cash in. Should the transfer materialise, it could mark a pivotal step in Pululu’s career, offering him a bigger platform in Poland to enhance his reputation and test his potential as a leading forward in the league.
