Womé Dové and Mamelodi Sundowns started the season impressively by defeating Celtic Bloemfontein 3-1 in Bethlehem at the end of the first day of the Premier Soccer League.
Establishing himself as a key figure, the Togolese attacking midfielder showcased his skills and vision of the game, contributing to his team’s quick dominance. Hlompho Kekana opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, and the team added two more goals in the second half, with Cuthbert Malajila and Teko Modise finding the net in the 61st and 72nd minutes, respectively.
With the victory secured, Womé Dové was substituted in the 73rd minute to provide him with some rest. Although Celtic Bloemfontein managed to score a penalty in the last minute, converting it through Mogorosi, Mamelodi Sundowns secured the win.
