Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has experienced a slow start to the Ligue 1 season, earning only two points in their first two matches with draws against Montpellier and Ajaccio, both ending in 1-1 scorelines. This puts PSG behind Lyon, Monaco, and Olympique de Marseille (OM), who have started the season more successfully.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic sought to reassure fans, pointing out that PSG had a slow start last season as well, and he emphasized the team’s progression from game to game: “I remind you that last season we started badly too. I think we are progressing game by game. If we had so many chances, it’s because we produced some play, right?”
Thiago Silva echoed similar sentiments, acknowledging that Ligue 1 is a long competition.
While the players express confidence and optimism, there is a recognition that PSG needs to elevate its performance quickly if it aims to defend its Ligue 1 title successfully.
