George Weah’s affection for PSG remains unwavering. The former player of the Ile-de-France club, and African football star, expresses his admiration, particularly for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whom he holds in high regard.
“Zlatan is a truly exceptional player, someone I enjoy watching. I hope he continues to excel at PSG, remains free from injuries, has a fantastic end to the year, and perhaps even clinches the next Ballon d’Or. That’s my wish!” he conveyed about the Swedish striker during an interview with RMC on Wednesday.
In a conversation with Le Parisien on Thursday, Weah attempted to draw a comparison between himself and Ibrahimovic.
“Zlatan and I have different mentalities and styles. By all norms, he’s too tall to be an exceptionally agile player. He should be awkward, but instead, he’s technical and quick in execution. I had speed and technical ability too, but once again, comparing me to Zlatan is not fair,” he suggested.
While visiting Paris to promote his sports equipment brand, reports indicate that the former PSG striker is being approached to take on the role of the club’s sporting director.
