Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Idrissa Gueye remains strong, even after the Senegalese midfielder’s proposed move to the French capital fell through last January.
According to recent reports, Everton’s 29-year-old midfielder is once again a priority for PSG coach Thomas Tuchel. The German manager is reportedly eager to bring Gueye to the club this summer, seeing him as a key reinforcement for the squad.
However, the transfer’s success may depend on the stance of PSG’s new sporting director, Leonardo, who now holds the final say in recruitment decisions. Last winter, Gueye’s arrival was blocked by then-sporting director Antero Henrique, despite Tuchel’s interest. Whether Leonardo will support Tuchel’s push remains uncertain, leaving the potential transfer in a wait-and-see scenario.
For now, both PSG and Everton, along with Gueye himself, are expected to monitor the situation closely as the summer transfer window progresses.
