Paris Saint-Germain is facing the prospect of losing Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, with speculation about his possible Real Madrid return gather space.
The Spanish giants are keen about strengthening their full-back, with Dani Carvajal expected to depart the club at the end of the season and Alexander Arnold also struggling to settle at the club after switching from Liverpool last summer.
Per reports, Real Madrid remain confident of landing the pacey right-back and does not intend to hunt for any alternative defender. Hakimi wants to honor a long-standing promise to return Santiago Bernabéu, where his professional journey began.

That belief has only been reinforced by the arrival of Kylian Mbappé, Hakimi’s close friend, whose move to Madrid is seen as a potential catalyst for the defender’s own comeback. The two stars share a strong off-the-pitch bond and are known to spend considerable time together.
A graduate of Real Madrid’s academy, Hakimi left the club in 2020 before moving on to Inter. One year later, PSG secured his services for €68 million. Since arriving in Paris, Hakimi has been a key figure, making 191 appearances, scoring 27 goals, and registering 38 assists for the French champions.
Despite his importance to PSG, the defender remains under contract until 2029. His current market value is estimated at €80 million.
