PSG ready to lower Bradley Barcola asking price
Paris Saint-Germain could reduce its asking price for Bradley Barcola as Liverpool continue negotiations for the French winger.
The two clubs have yet to reach an agreement, despite reports that Barcola has already accepted the idea of joining the Premier League side.
PSG initially valued the 23-year-old between €150 million and €170 million, but Liverpool’s opening proposal was reportedly only €80 million. The French champions are said to be unwilling to sell for less than €120 million, although a final agreement could potentially be reached between €130 million and €150 million.
Talks have moved slowly, with both clubs seemingly waiting for the other to compromise. PSG still hold a strong negotiating position because Barcola has two years remaining on his contract. However, retaining a player who wants to leave could become complicated, particularly following the arrival of Belgian winger Mika Godts.
Liverpool are expected to submit an improved offer before the transfer deadline. The Reds’ latest proposal was reportedly below €110 million, leaving significant ground to cover.
With the English and French windows closing on September 1, discussions could continue until the final hours. Every additional million matters in a transfer of this size, and the next bid may determine whether the long-running standoff finally moves forward.
