Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has set its sights on teenage talent Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP as the club seeks to bolster its struggling attack, particularly in the Champions League. Amid interest from top European clubs, PSG is making swift moves to secure the 17-year-old forward during the January 2025 transfer window.

Geovany Quenda, a right winger from Guinea-Bissau, has become one of football’s most sought-after young talents.

In recent months, his standout performances with Sporting have attracted the attention of elite clubs across Europe, including Manchester United, Juventus, Chelsea, and Arsenal.

PSG, however, is now ramping up its efforts to bring him to Paris as it aims to rejuvenate its frontline.

Reports from French publication L’Équipe suggest that PSG has already opened discussions with Quenda’s camp.

The Parisian side is reportedly intensifying negotiations with Sporting CP, aiming to finalize a deal by the upcoming winter transfer window.

Sporting is said to be open to exploring options for Quenda, whose current contract runs until June 2027, leaving the door open for a potential transfer.

This season, Quenda has made 16 appearances across competitions for Sporting, scoring twice and providing one assist.

Despite his young age, his quick feet, creativity, and composure in front of goal have already marked him as one of the brightest emerging prospects in Portuguese football.

Valued at €15 million by Transfermarkt, Quenda represents an appealing investment for PSG as the club looks to secure a long-term solution to its recent scoring issues.

The potential transfer comes amid PSG’s ambitions to improve its European performances, as their attacking options have fallen short of expectations this season, especially on the Champions League stage.

PSG’s interest in Quenda highlights the club’s strategic focus on acquiring youthful talent with significant growth potential.

Bringing in a player like Quenda could provide the spark PSG has been seeking to enhance its offensive strategy while aligning with the club’s broader ambitions for domestic and European success.
