PSG open contract extension talks with French-Congolese teenager Senny Mayulu
French giants Paris Saint-Germain have commenced contract extension talks with French-born teenager of Congolese descent, Senny Mayulu.
Mayulu has rapidly emerged as a key figure in Luis Enrique’s squad since last season.
Despite his young age, the versatile midfielder has featured prominently in PSG’s UEFA Champions League campaign, starting all three of their fixtures in the competition so far.
His rise to prominence follows an impressive run last season, during which he scored in the Champions League final.
What makes Mayulu invaluable to the French champions is his adaptability. In recent months, PSG have faced an injury crisis across both attack and midfield.
Mayulu has stepped up remarkably, filling roles across the frontline, including both wings and the centre-forward position, as well as operating effectively in midfield, where many believe his future ultimately lies.
Mayulu’s current contract runs until the summer of 2027, but PSG are eager to extend those terms amid interest from several European clubs.
The Ligue 1 giants view the France youth international as an important part of their long-term project and want to secure his commitment to the Parc des Princes for the foreseeable future.
Talks are already underway, with PSG confident that an agreement can be reached to keep Mayulu in the French capital as he continues his rapid development into one of Europe’s brightest young prospects.
