Hervin Ongenda’s Loan Move Faces Uncertainty Amid PSG-Bastia Tensions
Hervin Ongenda’s anticipated loan transfer to SC Bastia may be in jeopardy due to strained relations between Paris Saint-Germain and the Corsican club. The young striker, who has seen limited playing time under PSG coach Laurent Blanc, was close to joining Bastia on a loan deal without an option to buy.
However, according to L’Equipe, the situation has shifted dramatically following tensions arising from the Brandao incident, souring PSG-Bastia relations. As a result, Ongenda is now reportedly poised to join Stade de Reims on loan for the upcoming season instead.
Despite being under contract with PSG until 2017, Ongenda had expressed a strong desire to join Bastia to reunite with Claude Makelele, the club’s coach, with whom he shares a great deal of trust.
For now, Reims appears to be the most likely destination for the promising young forward as the clubs seek to resolve the transfer amid off-field complications.
