Yesterday, Wednesday, PSG announced the extension of Blaise Matuidi’s contract until 2018, which was set to expire in June. Following the official confirmation of his contract extension with the Parisian club, the international midfielder immediately shifted his focus to the upcoming clash against OM.
“This is positive news as the Classico is just around the corner. Naturally, I hope to conclude this period with a victory. It would be truly special. Paris-Marseille matches are unique, they represent a longstanding rivalry. We represent Paris Saint-Germain and are determined to defend our colors. Therefore, we will give our all to secure the win. Nonetheless, it remains a league match, with three points at stake, just like against Toulouse. But there’s no denying the special atmosphere surrounding this encounter,” Matuidi emphasized.
