Blaise Matuidi Addresses Starting Role Concerns After Ajax Match

Speaking to French broadcaster RMC, Matuidi reflected on his recent playing time and its impact on his performance. “I am someone who needs to play. I need to play in a row,” he said. “It did me good to play against Ajax and then Lyon. I saw the difference.”
The French international believes that consistent appearances will improve his form. “By playing in a series of matches, it will get better and better,” Matuidi added.
He also acknowledged the competitive nature of squad selection. “Afterwards, there are choices, you have to accept them,” he concluded, signaling his professionalism and willingness to adapt.
