Mali Striker Kalifa Coulibaly Joins Sporting Charleroi from PSG Reserves

Charleroi, Belgium – Sporting Charleroi have announced the signing of Malian striker Kalifa Coulibaly from Paris Saint-Germain’s reserve team. The 22-year-old forward has signed a two-year contract with the Belgian side, with an option to extend for a further two seasons.

Standing at 1.97m and weighing 84kg, Coulibaly brings a commanding physical presence to Charleroi’s attacking line. The forward began his professional career with AS Real Bamako in Mali before joining PSG in 2011. While he did not make a first-team appearance for the French giants, he impressed with their reserves this season, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances.

His move marks a new chapter in his career as he looks to establish himself in Belgium’s top division. Sporting Charleroi, currently competing in the Belgian Pro League, see Coulibaly as a promising long-term addition who can offer both physicality and finishing power in the final third.

The club confirmed the transfer via social media, welcoming the young Malian and expressing confidence in his potential.

Coulibaly will be looking to follow in the footsteps of other African players who have successfully made the transition from French football to Belgium, often using it as a springboard to higher-profile European leagues.
