Claude Makelele, one of the assistant coaches at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), is full of praise for midfielder Marco Verratti. The Italian player, who is an undisputed starter in Laurent Blanc’s midfield, has left a significant impression on Makelele. The former Chelsea player describes Verratti as “exceptional” and highlights the young player’s talent.
Makelele expressed his admiration for Verratti’s qualities, stating, “When he arrived, I didn’t know him very well. From his first training session, I immediately saw that he had talent. I don’t think it should be changed. His innocence is his quality. If we change it, it won’t be as effective. You have to let him mature; he will learn as he goes. He will calm down. This position is the future. He will become one of the best in the world,” concluded the former PSG captain.
