Luc Abalo recently attended the launch ceremony of Kettler fitness machines’ new “S-Line” range, where 10 Sport had the opportunity to inquire about the relationship between PSG Handball and the football section.
Abalo, the Franco-Togolese handball player, highlighted the strong bond within the PSG sports family, emphasizing that the success in one sport brings joy to the entire club. When asked about the awareness of PSG footballers regarding handball, Abalo mentioned that Nicolas Douchez and Blaise Matuidi follow the handball results. Surprisingly, he also revealed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is quite knowledgeable about handball.
Abalo stated, “Zlatan knows handball very well! And yes, he knew who I was (smile). He knew other players on the team too. Sweden is a real handball nation, and he has always followed the sport.” This insight showcases the camaraderie and mutual support between different sports within the PSG family, with footballers taking an interest in the achievements of their handball counterparts.
