PSG holds firm on Bradley Barcola despite transfer interest
Paris Saint-Germain are resisting growing interest in Bradley Barcola, with the club insisting the winger is not available unless they first secure a replacement.
Arsenal are currently seen as frontrunners for the 23-year-old, who is high on their list to strengthen the left side of Mikel Arteta’s attack. Despite Barcola starting the Champions League final on the bench, PSG are unwilling to weaken their squad without guarantees of a new signing in wide areas.
“When I ask PSG sources, it’s ‘not for sale’ and you’re not going to get a different answer from PSG until they potentially add another player,” reporter Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport.
He added that if PSG manage to recruit another attacker, their stance on Barcola could soften, especially with the player keen on more regular minutes. PSG would prefer to extend his contract first, but a failure to agree new terms combined with the arrival of a rival in his position could push them to cash in.
Jacobs also noted that “Arsenal is a situation that’s worth keeping an eye on,” with the Gunners currently thought to prioritise Morgan Rogers yet ready to move if Barcola genuinely becomes available.
