Paris Saint-Germain have included 18-year-old midfielder Noham Kamara in their senior squad for the first time, ahead of their Ligue 1 fixture against AJ Auxerre on Matchday 29.

Kamara, a dual national of France and Mauritania, has earned his place in the first team following a string of impressive displays for PSG’s reserve side.

The teenager, who joined the club from Torcy’s U19 ranks last summer, has quickly caught the eye of head coach Luis Enrique, who opted to reward his progress with a call-up to the senior squad.

This weekend’s home match offers the young midfielder a significant opportunity, as PSG enter the final stretch of the domestic campaign having already secured the Ligue 1 title.

With the pressure off, Enrique is expected to rotate his squad, giving younger players a chance to gain experience at the highest level.

Kamara’s inclusion reflects that approach, and signals growing confidence within the coaching staff about his development trajectory.

Born to a Mauritanian father from Tachott and a French mother, Kamara’s rapid rise within the Parisian club’s ranks has been closely followed by those aware of his potential.

Since arriving at the PSG academy, his tactical intelligence, composure in midfield, and ability to transition play have stood out—qualities that have helped him become a standout performer in the reserve setup.

Kamara recently signed a training contract with Paris Saint-Germain, formalising his commitment to the club’s project while positioning himself as a potential first-team contributor in the near future.

His invitation to the senior squad ahead of a Ligue 1 fixture marks a key moment in what has so far been a meteoric ascent for the young midfielder.

For Luis Enrique, the match against Auxerre presents an opportunity to manage his squad with an eye on future fixtures and potential European commitments.

Integrating players like Kamara not only serves to rest key starters but also allows the coaching staff to assess the readiness of emerging talents within a competitive setting.

While it remains unclear whether Kamara will make his debut on Saturday or remain on the bench, his inclusion alone is an important milestone in his professional journey.

It also signals PSG’s ongoing emphasis on blending youth development with elite performance at the senior level—an ambition increasingly reflected in the club’s strategic outlook.

As PSG prepare to host Auxerre at the Parc des Princes, the spotlight may rest on familiar stars, but for Noham Kamara and those who have tracked his progress, this weekend could mark the first step in a promising professional career.

Should he feature, Kamara would join a growing list of academy prospects given first-team exposure under the current regime, further underlining the trust placed in the next generation of talent by one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
