Reports have emerged indicating Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Moroccan national team goalkeeper, currently playing for Al-Hilal Saudi Club, Yassine Bounou.
This move potentially paves the way for Bounou’s return to European football.
According to Spanish outlet “todofichajes,” Al-Hilal’s goalkeeper has become the focus of attention for PSG’s management, led by Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who is seeking to secure his services in the upcoming summer transfer window.
PSG is considering signing Al-Hilal’s goalkeeper as a replacement for Italian shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma, especially after Donnarumma’s recent performances falling short of the expectations of Spanish coach Luis Enrique, as reported by the website.
Moroccan international Yassine Bounou, who guards Al-Hilal’s goal, has demonstrated his prowess by maintaining a clean sheet in 15 matches this season.
He is only four games away from becoming the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets, currently tied with Marcelo Grohe, the former Al-Ittihad goalkeeper.
