Former Chelsea player Salomon Kalou, now playing for Lille, shared his insights on Chelsea, who are set to face PSG in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Kalou emphasized that Chelsea is a team filled with experienced and high-level players, but their greatest asset is their manager, José Mourinho.
“Paris is a team that is gaining strength, while Chelsea, this year, is rebuilding. These are two teams that are reaching the high level. And there is Mourinho who knows how to win the Champions League. He has this serenity that affects everyone. He’s used to it, he knows how to win these kinds of matches. He transmits this to his players and that is what makes Mourinho strong,” remarked Kalou, as reported by RMC.
Although Mourinho wasn’t with Chelsea when they won the Champions League in 2012, he has won the competition twice before, first with FC Porto in 2004 and then with Inter Milan in 2010.
