Hervé Ongenda Set to Remain at Paris Saint-Germain Despite Loan Interest
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Hervé Ongenda is expected to stay at the club this season, despite interest from several Ligue 1 sides including Bastia, Reims, and Bordeaux.
The young Franco-Congolese talent has been eager for more playing time, with several clubs reportedly interested in taking him on loan. However, PSG head coach Laurent Blanc has made it clear that Ongenda remains part of his plans.
A source close to PSG told French media outlet RMC on Saturday: “Laurent Blanc does not want to let go of Hervin, who should start the season with Paris unless there is a turnaround in the last 48 hours.”
Blanc himself confirmed the stance during a recent press conference, praising the player’s potential and explaining the squad dynamics: “Little Hervin is very interesting. Last year, it was difficult to make room for him. This year, with the starters, it will be difficult but not impossible. These players have a good chance of staying with us if we stick to this setup.”
With competition fierce at the capital club, Ongenda’s development will be closely monitored as he vies for a role in one of Europe’s top teams.
