Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is set to face Nantes on Sunday in the culmination of the 3rd day of Ligue 1. The capital club is eager to secure its first victory of the season to avoid falling behind in the league standings.
In preparation for the upcoming match, PSG’s coach, Laurent Blanc, has confirmed that midfielder Blaise Matuidi will be available for selection. Matuidi had suffered a blow to the forehead during PSG’s draw against Ajaccio last Sunday (1-1), initially raising concerns about his participation. However, in a press conference on Friday, Blanc assured that Matuidi has recovered well and will be part of the squad for the trip to La Beaujoire.
Blanc stated, “Everything evolved very well, faster than we could have thought. He recovers very well. He was able to do almost normal training, he is in the group. We will see this Saturday in what condition he is. If he is able to play against Nantes, he may have protection.” Matuidi’s availability will be a positive boost for PSG as they aim for a crucial victory in the early stages of the season.
