Professional football league and media association collaborate to enhance journalist access to stadiums

The Moroccan Professional Football League (LNFP) and the Moroccan National Association of Media and Publishers (ANME) held a joint meeting on December 5, 2024, at the league’s headquarters.

The agenda focused on evaluating the implementation of the “stadium access card” initiative, designed to facilitate the work of journalists and photographers covering professional league matches.

The meeting, which included representatives from national football clubs, highlighted the importance of creating a seamless and professional environment for media personnel.

Attendees reviewed the progress made in ensuring journalists and photographers have unhindered access to stadiums, aligning with the goals outlined in the 2030 professional development vision.

Club representatives expressed their appreciation for the initiative, describing it as an innovative solution that not only addresses logistical challenges but also elevates the professionalism of media coverage in Moroccan football.

They acknowledged the move as a qualitative leap in improving working conditions for journalists, enabling them to perform their duties effectively.

“The initiative reflects the league’s commitment to fostering a productive relationship between media professionals and the football community,” said one representative, emphasizing the importance of maintaining momentum in upcoming seasons.

The discussion also included requests from public-sector journalists, including those from Medi 1 TV, the Moroccan Press Agency (MAP), and private radio stations, to be granted the stadium access card.

After thorough deliberation, the request was approved, subject to compliance with the legal requirements for obtaining the card.

Participants concluded the meeting by affirming their loyalty to King Mohammed VI and recognizing his unwavering support for Moroccan football.

They expressed hopes that these initiatives would contribute to the continued growth of the sport and its media landscape, ensuring alignment with broader national aspirations.

This meeting reflects a concerted effort by the LNFP and ANME to strengthen collaboration and professionalism within Moroccan football, ensuring that both media and football stakeholders benefit from a modern and well-organized framework.
