The English football magazine World Soccer has announced the list of nominees for the Player, Coach, and Team of the Year awards. For the Player of the Year, two African players are nominated:

The English football magazine World Soccer has announced the list of nominees for the Player, Coach, and Team of the Year awards. For the Player of the Year, two African players are nominated: Didier Drogba and Yaya Touré. Hervé Renard is the only African coach on the list of best coach nominees, and Zambia is the only African team nominated for Team of the Year. The winners, selected based on behavior and performance throughout the year, will be announced in mid-December.

World Soccer Player of the Year Nominees:
