Presnel Kimpembe’s return to action remains shrouded in uncertainty, with Paris Saint-Germain’s manager, Luis Enrique, admitting he has no clear timeline for the defender’s comeback.
The 29-year-old vice-captain was forced off the pitch during PSG’s 3-0 victory over Olympique de Marseille in February 2023 after suffering a serious Achilles injury. Despite being included in the squad list ahead of PSG’s UEFA Champions League clash with Bayern Munich last month, Kimpembe was ultimately absent from the matchday roster, and has yet to feature under Enrique’s management.
Enrique expressed his frustration over the lack of clarity surrounding Kimpembe’s rehabilitation. “The truth is I don’t know when he’s going to come back,” he said during a recent press conference. “I love it when players come back from an injury. Training is the best weapon to see what kind of state they’re in,” he added. As Kimpembe continues his recovery, PSG fans are left waiting for the day their defensive leader will return to the pitch.
