YANN M’VILA HEADING TOWARDS SUNDERLAND DESPITE DYNAMO MOSCOW ANNOUNCEMENT
Though Dynamo Moscow had announced the arrival of Yann M’vila, the French international midfielder appears set to join Sunderland instead. According to L’Équipe, the player is in very advanced talks with the Premier League club and could sign as early as this weekend.
After rising to prominence at Stade Rennais between 2008 and 2013, M’vila made a move to Rubin Kazan in Russia, making 37 appearances. He was then loaned to Inter Milan during the 2014–2015 season, but failed to make a significant impact there, featuring in just 14 matches and ultimately terminating his loan after six months.
Looking to revive his career, M’vila was expected to join Dynamo Moscow, but has now shifted focus to the English top flight as a new opportunity to bounce back. A move to Sunderland would mark his first experience in English football and another step in his quest to reestablish himself at the top level.
