Swansea City secured a crucial victory in the 35th day of the Premier League, triumphing over Newcastle United in a thrilling encounter. Despite falling behind to Shola Ameobi’s goal in the 23rd minute, Swansea staged a remarkable comeback against the Magpies, ultimately winning 2-1.

The turnaround was orchestrated by Wilfried Bony, who delivered a stellar performance for the Swans. Bony netted twice, with his goals coming in the 45th minute and a crucial penalty conversion in added time (90th minute).

This victory marks Newcastle’s fifth consecutive league defeat, further complicating their position in the league standings. Despite the loss, Alan Pardew’s side remains in 9th place. In contrast, Swansea’s triumph propels them closer to securing their Premier League status for next season, as they currently sit in 13th place.
