PREMIER LEAGUE: STURRIDGE VOTED PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR FEBRUARY

Daniel Sturridge’s impressive performances have earned him the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for February, marking the second consecutive time he has won the trophy. The Liverpool striker, known for his clinical finishing and attacking prowess, scored five goals and provided two assists during the month.

Sturridge faced stiff competition from Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, who showcased his skill and versatility with a hat-trick against Newcastle and standout performances in other matches throughout February. Despite Hazard’s strong showing, Sturridge ultimately emerged as the winner of the award.

Other nominees for the Player of the Month included Kevin Nolan of West Ham United and Racheem Sterling, Sturridge’s teammate at Liverpool. However, it was Sturridge’s consistent impact on the pitch that earned him the recognition.

Interestingly, Chelsea manager José Mourinho expressed surprise and amusement that Hazard had not yet won the Player of the Month award, highlighting the Belgian’s exceptional contributions to the team’s success.
