The Spanish playmaker was hit with an elbow to the back of his neck from Cheikhou Kouyaté. Silva had to be taken off on a stretcher and received life support on his way to the hospital. The extent of the injury is not yet confirmed, but there are concerns that he could have suffered a facial fracture.
