Portuguese giants FC Porto have secured the services of Ivorian midfielder Seko Fofana from French outfit Stade Rennais.
Fofana, who struggled for regular playing time at Rennais in recent months, moves to Porto on a loan deal until the end of the season, seeking a fresh start to revive his career.
The 27-year-old had gradually fallen out of favour under coach Habib Beye, finding himself on the fringes of Rennais’ squad since the autumn.
With a need to bolster their midfield options, Porto moved quickly to snap up Fofana, adding experience and depth to their squad for the remainder of the campaign.
