Porto linked with move for Senegal striker Mame Alassane Niang from HamKam
Porto have been linked with a move for Senegal forward Mame Alassane Niang, who is currently on loan at Norwegian side HamKam.
The 20-year-old centre-forward, on the books at Lyn in Norways OBOS-ligaen, has seen his profile rise rapidly in recent months, with his estimated market value climbing to 1.8m during his spell at HamKam.
Niang, a 1.97m left-footed striker from Ndatte in Senegal, joined Lyn from Diambars de Saly FC in September 2024 before moving on loan to HamKam in March 2026, remaining in Norwegian football while stepping up a level.
His performances at HamKam have prompted interest from Porto as the Liga Portugal club assess attacking options, with the Portuguese side monitoring his progress ahead of the new season.
Niang is due to return to Lyn at the end of his loan, with an upcoming permanent move back to HamKam already arranged shortly after, underlining the demand for the young striker within Norway.
Having been valued at just 75,000 at Lyn in late 2024 before jumping to 250,000 in 2025 and then to 1.8m at HamKam in May 2026, Niangs rise has marked him out as one of the more rapidly developing forwards in the Scandinavian market.
The transfer link between Lyn and Porto remains at the rumour stage, with no agreement reported between the clubs.
