The head of Recruitment at Plymouth Argyle, Jimmy Dickinson has noted that the club is excited with the signing of Ghana midfielder Michael Baidoo.

According to him, the club is particularly elated knowing that the Black Stars midfielder will add versatility to the squad of the team.

“Michael is someone we have been aware of for a long time, and I am delighted that we have finally been able to bring him to Argyle. He comes to the club with excellent pedigree having been the star of Elfsborg’s Europa League campaign this season and recently made his international debut for Ghana.

“He can play a variety of positions so will add real versatility to the squad, but most of all chose to come to Argyle ahead of other top clubs throughout Europe. He is excited to play in England and show what he can do, and we believe he will make a real impact on English football,” Jimmy Dickinson said as quoted on the club’s website.

A versatile player, Baidoo excels in midfield but is also capable of contributing as a striker. At Plymouth Argyle, he is expected to bring dynamic play and creativity to the squad.

The Ghanaian star will don the number 30 jersey for the Pilgrims. His debut is subject to EFL approval and international clearance, with hopes that he will be available for selection for Plymouth’s January 11 fixture against Brentford.

Baidoo’s arrival represents a bold statement by Plymouth Argyle, highlighting the club’s ambitions to strengthen its squad and compete at the highest levels.
