Pitso Mosimane, the former head coach of Al-Ahly and the current coach of Abha in Saudi Arabia, has delivered a motivational message to the players of his home country, South Africa, ahead of their clash with Morocco in the Round of 16 at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Using his official Twitter account, Mosimane posted a rallying call to his South African compatriots, saying, “Yella Shabab! Confidence, flexibility, hard work, tactical discipline, and teamwork.”

He continued, “Lets put our combination play, lots of teams struggle to stop us. Shika , Lion of Juddah you have the extensive experience and leadership of playing these big games. Asiyeni Bafowethu!. .”

Mosimane emphasized the importance of his message to boost the spirits of the South African national team, led by captain Percy Tau, who also plays for Al-Ahly.

The coach urged Tau and other experienced players to use their expertise to guide the team to victory on significant occasions.

South Africa advanced to the Round of 16 after finishing second in their group behind Mali, where Tunisia and Namibia were also present.

The South African team is scheduled to face Morocco on Tuesday evening at 10:00 PM Cairo time and 11:00 PM Mecca time at Laurent Pokou Stadium in San Pedro, Ivory Coast.

The match holds significant importance as both teams vie for a spot in the quarter-finals of the prestigious tournament.
