Pitso Mosimane completes South Africa coaching staff before Guinea qualifier

South Africa head coach Pitso Mosimane has completed his technical staff ahead of Saturday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Guinea at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.

Marcus Mashilo has joined the Bafana Bafana training camp as the new goalkeeper coach, while Tshepo Mahao has been appointed assistant analyst. Goolam Valodia will work as the opposition analyst during the three-match camp, which begins with the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea.

Mosimane said the appointments meant his coaching team was now fully assembled.

“The technical team is now complete. We have recruited Marcus Mashilo as the goalkeeper coach,” Mosimane said.

“Marcus is very experienced and worked with me at Mamelodi Sundowns. He has also worked with coaches Manqoba Mngqithi and Rhulani Mokwena.”
