Pink Ladies Cup: Ghana coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren braces for tough Tanzania Test on March 6

Head coach of the Ghana women’s national football team, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, is expecting a challenging encounter when his side face Tanzania women’s national football team in their final fixture of the Pink Ladies Cup in Dubai, UAE.

The Black Queens currently sit at the top of the standings after recording victories over Hong Kong women’s national football team and Russia women’s national football team in their opening two matches.

Despite Ghana’s strong form, Bjorkegren believes the final game could prove to be their most demanding outing of the tournament.

“Yeah. I mean, that’s probably is going to be the most-tricky one, because we play against another African country that absolutely wants to beat us. They will be the underdogs.

“We know that they have a young talent group of players that they’re going to run a lot, they’re going to tackle a lot. So, if we are not there, they, for sure, is going to win the game. So, we need to be happy tonight and then back to training tomorrow, and then show up in the last game against Tanzania,” Kim Lars Bjorkegren said after the win against Russia.

The much-anticipated clash between Ghana and Tanzania is scheduled for Friday, March 6, as the Black Queens aim to conclude the tournament on a high note.
