Pierre Menes praises Desire Doue’s work rate against Arsenal
Pierre Menes has praised Desire Doue after the PSG forward’s energetic display against Arsenal, saying his contribution went beyond the usual attacking highlights.
Menes argued that Doue’s running and defensive work made him one of the most important players on the pitch, even if he did not always stand out with the ball.
“There are several interpretations of his match. With the ball, he didn’t make that many differences, but he is the player on the pitch who ran the most kilometres,” Menes said. He added that Doue covered more than 15 kilometres, describing the effort as enormous and a sign of his growing value for France.
“He can play as a forward but also drop back into midfield. He was very useful, especially in defensive work,” Menes said. That flexibility, according to the former pundit, gives PSG and the French national team a player who can adapt to different tactical demands.
Doue’s performance against Arsenal underlined how much he offers without necessarily dominating the ball. His willingness to press, track back and cover ground has made him a more complete attacker and strengthened his case for bigger responsibilities ahead.
