Petrojet has firmly shut down the circulating transfer rumors surrounding standout player Hamed Hamdan, making it clear no official offer has landed on their table from Zamalek.
In a public statement, the club clarified that only verbal talks occurred between officials of both clubs regarding Hamdan and teammate Tawfik Mohamed. However, nothing formal has been submitted.
Petrojet disclosed the only official approach for Hamdan came from Qatar SC. That too was rejected, as the club prioritizes maintaining its core squad ahead of a demanding Premier League return.
Reaffirming its stance, Petrojet emphasized it will not release any player during the current summer window. The team is in intensive preparation for top-flight action, and officials are focused on strengthening, not dismantling, the squad.
The club also condemned public backlash toward its officials for not selling players. Management, led by Major General Gamal Fawzy, holds the final decision-making power.
With long-term contracts binding most players, Petrojet remains open to talks but firmly in control. Hamdan, a key figure in their promotion, remains committed to the team’s journey.
